Do you accept new patients?

Yes, we happily welcome new patients.
 

Is there any age limit to be a patient?

We accept patients between the ages of 12 and 99.
 

What if I don’t have insurance?

We offer consultations and check-ups at reasonable rates for the uninsured.
We can also help you apply for insurance if you choose.

What insurance do you accept?

Please see our “Insurance Accepted” section for a list of insurance plans we accept.
 

Do I need to make an appointment to see the doctor?

We highly recommend that you make an appointment prior to your visit.
But if you need urgent attention, we will accept walk-ins.
 

What if I get sick at night or on the weekend? What should I do?

We are accessible by phone during normal business hours and by email 24/7.
We encourage patients with any questions or concerns to contact us.
If you wish to contact us after-hours or on the weekend,

What if I run out of medicine?

You should contact our office 7-10 days before your
medicine is expected to run out. But if you find yourself in a position
where you are out of medicine, contact our office as soon as possible.
 

If I feel better, should I stop taking medicine that was prescribed?

Please do not suddenly stop taking your medicine without first consulting your doctor.
 

My insurance was terminated. What do I do?

Stay calm and contact your insurance provider.
As soon as possible, contact our office so that
we can manage your medications. Do not discontinue
any medication without first consulting your doctor.

 

What should I do if I think I am pregnant?

Contact our office as soon as possible to discuss your care.
 

What should I do if I receive a bill from a laboratory?

First, contact the billing agency to clarify why you received the bill.
Then, contact our office. Please do this as soon as you get the bill.
 

What is your policy on doctors’ notes (sick notes)?

Doctor’s notes are only given to patients who come into
one of our offices and can be verified to be sick.
Quite simply, if you are sick, you will receive a doctor’s note.
If you are not sick, simply coming to the doctor’s office will not get you a doctor’s note.
 

What vaccines do you offer?

more information on the vaccinations we offer.
 

What tests do you typically perform?

We offer bloodwork, electrocardiograms (EKG/ECG), and Pap smears in our office.
The blood we draw is sent to a laboratory for analysis.
For radiology/imaging needs, we refer our patients to third-party imaging centers.
If a specialist orders a test that we do not perform,
there is no need to contact us; you may go directly to a laboratory service center to have the test done.
 

What do I do if I need to speak to my doctor?

On weekdays and during working hours, you can simply call
our office or email us at zwhmedicalcare+contact@gmail.com.
For after-hours or weekend emergencies,
either email zwhmedicalcare+afterhours@gmail.com
or call 718-298-5680 and ask the operator to connect you with the doctor.
 

What should I do if I am hospitalized?

Contact our office as soon as possible
by either phone or email to inform us of your hospitalization.
Also ensure that you’ve informed your insurance company.
 

What languages do you speak?

Dr. Hossain speaks English and Bangla.
The staff at ZWH Medical Care, PC speak English, Bangla, Hindi, and Urdu.
Other language accommodations can be made if you contact our office ahead of time.
